Bays lined with pines and rocks with popular beaches characterize the landscape of the Costa Brava, the so called "Wild Coast" in northeastern Spain. Wild party is sometimes celebrated in Lloret de Mar. But in many other holiday resorts it is quieter and more familiar. The campsites on the Costa Brava offer you not only beach life and Catalan way of life - but mostly also large pool facilities with children's pools, water slides and whirlpools. Beaches with golden sand can be found with your partner and your children for example at Cap Roig near Platja d'Aro, in Sant Pere Pescador, in Torroella and at Cala Canyelles. Discover the dazzling underwater world of the Medes Islands.

Visit romantic towns such as Roses, Tossa de Mar, and the metropolis of Barcelona

In the Catalan capital, the imaginative works of Antonio Gaudí also inspire children - for example the Cathedral Sagrada Famiglia and the colorful Park Güell. A ride with the cable car over the old harbour to the fortress is also recommended. With the historical tram "Linie Blau" you can go up to the mountain Tipidabo. Up here there is a nostalgic amusement park. You can get on the Ferris wheel and look out over the whole city to the sea. The great surrealist Salvador Dalí has created "crazy" paintings and sculptures that inspire young and old alike: you can find them in the Dalí Museum in Figueres. On the edge of the Costa Brava, the Camí de Ronda hiking trail leads into the idyllic hinterland. In dreamy mountain villages the traditional dishes of the Costa Brava are served. Would you like to enjoy chicken with mussels, a delicious stew of thick beans with black pudding or a large pan of golden paella? And afterwards maybe a Crema Catalan?
