Relaxed camping holidays and many excursion options in the Bernese Oberland

The children look forward to the playground and the playhouse. And plenty of free space on the spacious campsite. The pitches are mainly on meadows, mostly sunny and partly surrounded by trees and bushes. The pleasantly small camping area is mostly flat – the surroundings all the more mountainous: the Bernese Oberland with the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau offers hikers, mountaineers and cable car excursionists countless possibilities. Alpine and forest hikes, for example, start in the Engstligen or Kander valleys. From the Kiental you can go to the Blausee lake, which is the subject of numerous legends. On Lake Brienz or Lake Thun, the Alpine panorama can be enjoyed from the comfort of an excursion boat. For tour planning, simply ask at the reception or surf the web: WiFi is free of charge! Those who prefer cycling to sailing or hiking: Holidaymakers can rent bicycles or e-bikes at Camping Grassi.

Camping Grassi is ideal for holidays without a car

Because the Frutigen railway station is only a ten-minute walk away! Even an electric car is available for rent. Daily provisions are also convenient: in summer, the kiosk opens and sells fresh bread, drinks and dairy products. Further shopping opportunities are readily available in Frutigen. If you then want to enjoy Swiss cheese specialities, ham and other delicacies from the region at the campsite: Campers can make themselves comfortable in a cosy lounge in the wooden house or on the covered terrace.
