If you want to enjoy a bathing holiday at its best, you've come to the right place at the numerous Atlantic beaches. They are often fine and sandy, for example in the southern department of Morbihan or in Finistère in western Brittany. Hikers take the coastal footpaths to enjoy fantastic views. For example to the pink rocks Côte de Granit Rose in the north or the highest cliff of Brittany, the 104 meter high Pointe du Plouha. Sailors and surfers will find numerous bays with perfect conditions. By canoe you can explore rivers such as the Odet, whose banks are almost jungle-like thanks to the mild warmth. No wonder palm trees grow and many flowers bloom which are usually found in southern Europe in Brittany.

Whoever would like to enjoy the half-timbered and old town flair in Brittany...

... should make a detour to Quimper. Fans of Asterix, Obelix, and the gang will find numerous hollow stone fields around Carnac. Here the menhirs stand in rows in true hundreds. In the capital Rennes you should have a look at the cathedral St-Pierre like the cultural complex Les Champs Libres.
