The Costa Blanca is Spain's 160 km long coast "White Coast of Alicante" with lots of beach fun in the sunshine. It stretches between the striking Cabo de la Nao in the north and the Cabo de Palos which can be reached quickly from Cartagena. Here the prominent beacon watches over the steep coast. The small towns Altea and Dénia with its worth seeing old town are among the most popular destinations of the Costa Blanca. It gets quiet in the mountain villages of the inland. At Calpe, the landmark of the Costa Blanca, the rock Penón Ifach rises 332 meters high from the Mediterranean Sea. World famous bathing resort is Benidorm with the sandy beaches of Playa de Poniente and Playa de Levante. In the Funpark Terra Mítica you have the choice of four roller coasters. Many of the campsites on the Costa Blanca offer an aquapark with water slides. Do you also want to discover the Planetarium and Science Museum? Then take your kids on a tour of the Ciutat de les Arts y Ciencies in Valencia. The Oceanogràfic is the largest aquarium in Europe. Like a giant eye, the shell of the 3D cinema impresses “L'Hemisfèric”. The silk exchange and the cathedral of St. Mary prove that impressive buildings were built over 500 years ago.
