  • Modern campsites with terrace restaurants and luxury mobile homes

Would you like to book a camping holiday where swimming in the pool and sea, hospitality, Mediterranean cuisine, and a lot of family fun are the main priorities? Then welcome to campsites in Croatia. Not only can the kids look forward to soccer and basketball courts, pool facilities with children's pools or pirate ships, and a colourful, often english-language entertainment programme for all age groups. On luxury campsites in Croatia you can rent modern mobile homes and lodges - partly even with your own whirlpool!

Versatile family holidays camping in Croatia

Whether ancient Greeks, Romans, Venetians, Habsburgs and of course Croatians - they all shaped and shape the Croatian Adriatic coast, erected impressive buildings, and influenced the diverse cuisine and way of life. Today numerous holidaymakers, families, bathers and water sports enthusiasts from all over Europe come to Croatia. The coast which is over 1000 miles long offers countless bays with beaches. Many of the popular camping parks, for example on the Istrian coast around Rovinj, Umag and Pula or 3-4 hours by car further south in Dalmatia, are often located here. Trips to the hinterland round off the holiday, for example to the Plitvice lakes, in the mountainous Velebit or in the Brijuni National Park.

Mostly the beaches are pebbly, there are also partly bathing plateaus, and occasionally sandy beaches

The many pebble beaches have the advantage that no sand is whirled up. The visibility is correspondingly good when you go on a discovery tour with snorkel and diving goggles. It is advisable to take bathing shoes with you, then perhaps the stones or even maybe a sea urchin won’t hurt your feet. Diving bases, windsurfing and sailing schools as well as boat moorings can also be found on or near most Croatian campsites. If you want to relax on an island, we recommend the campsites in Kvarner Bay, On Krk, Cres, Lošinj, Pag and hundreds of other islands as there are at least another almost 2500 miles of coastline!

The journey by car however is not as long as the dream coast

For example the journey starts at the Austrian Tauernautobahn and a little bit through Slovenia - and then already you are there. From Munich to Istria you can expect about 7 hours. The motorway charges in Croatia in 2019 will be around 60 kuna (8 euros, 7 pounds) per 100 km (62 miles). In addition, please plan the fees for the Alpine tunnels and vignettes. In Slovenia, the monthly vignette currently costs around 30 euros. In Austria, for example, you pay around 10 euros for 10 days and 27 euros for two months.

However, this saves you money again due to the somewhat lower cost of living compared to most other Mediterranean countries. So why not on to the turquoise blue Adriatic. Here you’ll find your favorite place for your camping dream in Croatia!
